MEET THE FOUNDER!
Ellie’s started from something really simple: I love fashion, I love branding, and I wanted to create something of my own.
For about two years, starting a boutique was an idea I kept in the back of my mind. It wasn’t until the summer before my senior year at Georgia Southern that I finally had the thought, “let’s just do it.” So I did. At 21, while finishing my degree in Marketing, I started Ellie’s and began figuring it all out as I went.
There are a thousand names I could have chosen, but Ellie’s was always going to be special to me. Ellie’s comes from my last name, Ellington, and getting to put something that already means so much to me into something I created makes the name that much more meaningful. Ellie’s is personal. It is my love for fashion, my creativity, my faith, and a little piece of me that I get to share with other people.
I’ve never wanted Ellie’s to be about finding what everyone else is wearing or trying to fit into one specific idea of what fashion should look like. I want you to find something you love and make it completely your own. That is where “Find Your Fit” comes from. To me, it means find your outfit, but make it you.
We can all see something different hanging on the same rack. One person sees the perfect dress, someone else sees something completely different, and someone might not see anything at all. I think people and opportunities can be the same way. We are all completely our own person, and what lies in front of us is what we choose to make of it. Your fit is yours.
There really is no feeling like loving your outfit, but even better is loving the way you feel in it. Getting dressed is one of the ways I get to express who I am, and I want Ellie’s to give other girls that same feeling. Classy, chic, fun, feminine, and everything that comes with simply being a girl. I want you to look good, feel good, and most importantly, feel like yourself.
Starting Ellie’s has been one of the most fun and rewarding things I have ever done because I get to make it completely mine. I get to take an idea in my head and slowly watch it become something real. It hasn’t always gone exactly how I thought it would, and I’ve learned that things won’t always go according to plan. Sometimes you just have to keep your head up, keep going, and trust God with the rest.
My faith is a huge part of who I am, so naturally, it is a part of Ellie’s too. I hope this brand can grow into something that is bigger than just clothes. I hope that through Ellie’s, I can share the things I love, create something meaningful, and maybe even lead someone a little closer to Him along the way.
